Actors from civil society, representatives from public enterprises together with MPs from the position and the opposition, discussed on Tuesday regarding the supervision of the implementation of the Law on Public Enterprises. The same have given their proposals and remarks regarding this law, while the ruling party considers it as one of the most important laws that needed to be addressed within its legal spectrum.

On the other hand, in view of this, the Competition Authority has proposed to introduce an article that ensures that public enterprises do not use their special or privileged position to suppress competition.

The member of parliament from the ruling party, Jeta Statovci, at the meeting of the Committee on Economy, has emphasized that within the year 2021-2023 there has been a significant improvement in the state of public enterprises, so as she said, it is considered with a profit of 143 million euros.

Meanwhile, Shqipe Arifaj from the Association of Municipalities of Kosovo has said that they have received many remarks from the municipalities regarding the establishment of the local public enterprise.

On the other hand, Iliriana Hysa from the Competition Authority has proposed to introduce an article that ensures that public enterprises do not use their special position to suppress competition.

Meanwhile, the deputy from the party of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Pal Lekaj said that he has not seen any proposal regarding the relevant articles to amend the law on public enterprises.
