After 4 years of work, the large bridge at the entrance to Kukes, part of Rguga e Kombit, was opened yesterday for car traffic.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a picture of the completed bridge today, as he described it as a new engineering and architectural reality in the infrastructure of Albania 2030.

"The great North Bridge, a symbol of our ambition for Kukës and for the whole of Albania, which not only finally resolved the dangerous knot that until yesterday connected the two sides of the Drin, but also brought another new engineering and architectural reality to the infrastructure of Albania 2030", said Rama.

The new bridge over the river Drin has 4 lanes and a length of 310 meters. It has two concrete bases on the shores of the lake, while its entire length is a metal construction, with a large arch with a base of 270 meters and a height of 56 meters./ATSH/
