Patriarch Daniil said that the Bulgarian army has never lost a battle and the Bulgarian flag has never been captured, because the soldiers were taught "in the spirit of patriotism, in the spirit of respect for their parents from their paternal hearth, in the spirit of respect, of patience and the spirit of charity".

"In this way, struggling with their weaknesses and sins, they have learned by doing that a godly life, which is more for others than for themselves, brings real good, builds up the man and gives him strength inspiration for a constructive life. life", said Patriarch Daniil.

He also said that today all responsible factors in society must make all efforts to educate the next generation precisely in the spirit of faith, traditions and virtues that are natural for Bulgarians and are part of the national identity.

Military memorial and ritual services were also held in Shumen, Pleven, Ruse, Yambol, Varna, Burgas, Razgrad, Blagoevgrad, Dobrich and Targovishte, among other settlements. /BTA
