The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo has recommended the suspension of three police officials of the Rapid Response Unit in the Regional Directorate in Pristina, under the suspicion that today they arrested and escorted a citizen.

The arrest of the local security officer of the EULEX Mission came after an incident related to the parking of a private car which was being driven by a police officer in front of the entrance to the EULEX parking lot near the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium.

The local security employee was on duty to secure the EULEX car park at the time of the incident.

IPK investigators have gone to the scene of the incident and have undertaken some initial investigative actions in constant consultation with the competent prosecutor, who has also been to the scene of the incident.

According to the initial investigations, it is suspected that the officials involved in this case have committed the criminal offense of maltreatment while exercising their official duties or public authorizations.

The IPK investigators in coordination with the State Prosecutor's Office will continue to undertake other investigative actions for the complete clarification of the circumstances related to the case.
