Dedication and investment in young age groups is seen as the only way to guarantee the bright future of Kosovo's sport. At this point, the commitment of sports federations in Kosovo has already increased, as beyond the sports aspect and participation in various competitions, they also allocate a special budget for young people.

Leaders of sports federations in Kosovo have announced that they allocate a special budget for this category. The secretary of the Kosovo Basketball Federation, Elvira Dushku, told KosovaPress that only for 2023, this federation has allocated over two million euros for the new age groups.

"In terms of numbers, if we want to know how much the Basketball Federation invests in the new generations, for the year 2023 the budget is planned to be two million and 270 thousand euros as a whole, while for the new generations it is 21 percent, which means it is 468 thousand euros...I believe that with the long-term program this percentage will increase significantly in 2025, considering that in the long-term program, that program is a development program, it means that the focus is on the new generations and on the development of coaches and infrastructure so for us priority development and work with the new generations", said Dushku.

And in the Volleyball Federation, apart from the budget, special programs are also created, starting from primary schools. This is what the secretary of this federation, Valon Nikqi, has declared.

In the same line, the Karate Federation is also working. Avni Gashi, secretary of this federation, although he does not mention figures, says that this federation spends a lot of money on these categories.

Otherwise, the budget of sports federations in Kosovo is determined depending on the activity in local and international competitions that is determined by the Ministry of Sports in the categorization process.
