The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Arben Gashi, says that the Vetëvendosje Movement has lost its parliamentary majority in the Assembly of Kosovo. He asks Prime Minister Albin Kurti to resign and the country to go to the elections as soon as possible, since according to him, it is proving that the current government is not capable of governing the country. Gashi declares that the majority in the Assembly, due to the loss of numbers, is not participating in extraordinary sessions, and is not calling regular plenary sessions.
Three MPs left the Vetëvendosje Movement a week ago. MPs Eman Rrahmani and Visar Korenica have resigned from the ruling party and are independent MPs, while MP Drita Millaku has joined LDK. Previously, the deputies Haki Abazi and Fatmir Humolli also left the LVV. In addition to MP Millaku, the head of LDK MPs warns that very soon other LVV MPs will join LDK.
In an interview for KosovaPress, Gashi also talks about the LVV-Lista Serbe cooperation, the American orders for Kosovo, the situation in the north of Kosovo, as well as the preparations for the February 9 elections.
Mentioning the publication of wiretaps where the head of the LVV deputies, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, is heard talking with the former vice-president of the Serbian List, now a terrorist, Milan Radoicic, Gashi says that such a thing is disturbing and proves the cooperation of the LVV- with the Serbian List.As for the situation in the north, Gashi declares that there is currently a temporary situation there, where there is a greater presence of the Kosovo police and the removal of the criminal structures of Serbia in Kosovo.
But according to him, the legal situation is problematic, as he considers that Prime Minister Albin Kurti, through the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex, reached last year within the framework of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, has given substantial autonomy to the municipalities in the north.
During this legislature in the Assembly, two years ago, the deputy, Doarsa Kica-Xhelili, moved from the majority to the LDK.
