Hezbollah launched a missile attack on Israel
The Israeli military announced that Hezbollah fired about 80 rockets into northern Israel today and shot down four drones that were launched from Lebanon.
Israel launched airstrikes on military facilities in Iran on Saturday, saying it was targeting facilities used to manufacture rockets launched in Israel earlier this month, along with surface-to-air missile sites.
The attack risks pushing the enemies closer to all-out war at a time of rising violence in the Middle East, where Iranian-backed militant groups including Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon are already at war with Israel.
Fighting in Lebanon has forced 1.2 million people to flee their homes, including more than 400 children, according to the United Nations Children's Agency.
Israeli strikes have killed much of Hezbollah's senior leadership since fighting intensified in September.
