It's been almost a month since 15 cooks of the Student Canteen in Prishtina have been engaged in preparing food for members of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK). This service will continue until the cooks are selected through the competition of the Ministry of Defense. Meanwhile, the lack of cooks in the canteen has increased the workload and responsibilities for the remaining staff.

About 65 other workers are engaged to serve food to nearly five thousand students in two meals.

"Swedish breakfast", dishes including beans, potatoes, rice, boiled cabbage, pastries, stuffed peppers and even several types of meat, are part of the menu that is prepared daily for the students.

The same meals are also prepared by the cooks who are already serving the KSF soldiers. The competition for a cook has already been opened there, where the salary is over 600 euros, while in the canteen it is about 400 euros.

But, according to the director of the student canteen, Fahri Osmani, the main problem for the workers remains the unsatisfactory salary. For KosovaPress, he mentions that the salary offered in the FSK competition can encourage canteen cooks to apply.

Osmani announced that the capacity of the students' canteen was to help the FSK with 15 cooks.

Among other things, Osmani tells about the students' favorite food.

In the student canteen in Pristina, food is offered for lunch from 10:00 to 15:00 and dinner from 17:00 to 21:00. Up to 15 euros is the amount that students pay to receive this service within a month.
