The Kosovo police have checked the urban bus in Ferizaj, which runs towards the villages of Doganaj-Greme and Gaçkë, and dangerous vehicles suspected to belong to students have been found there.
The police have announced that this check was carried out under the suspicion that high school students carry with them suspicious, dangerous tools, such as sharp tools - knives, iron boxes and others.
"On 15.10.2024 from 20:00 on 'Enver Topalli' street, the police station in Ferizaj checked the bus that runs from Ferizaj towards the villages of Doganaj-Greme and Gaçkë. The police officers in uniform and those in civilian clothes have checked the travelers, with the suspicion that the high school students are carrying with them suspicious, dangerous tools, such as sharp tools - knives, iron boxes and others', the announcement states. of the police.
According to the police, during the search of the passengers, who were mostly students, on the floor of the bus were found: a firearm, two knives and an "iron box", which are not known to whom they belong.
"The state prosecutor has been notified of all these actions, and with his decision, a case has been initiated for the investigation of 'unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of a weapon.' The control of urban buses will continue in the following days in order to prevent and combat negative phenomena among students", the announcement states.
