The beginning of the construction of the Prishtina Hospital is being "delayed", by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, of which the Municipality of Pristina has been waiting for the approval of the plan for this project for three months now.
While for this hospital, the leaders of the capital have allocated budget funds as well as construction space, no other step has been taken in this direction yet.
The Director of Health in the municipality of Pristina, Izet Sadiku, considering the city hospital as an important project, emphasizes that they have been waiting for the approval of the plan for this project by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for three months now, but the latter have not given any response.
Sadiku considers these delays unreasonable. The President of the Health Trade Union Federation of Kosovo, Tevide Imeri, says that it is immediate that Prishtina to have his own hospital.
Imeri considers the non-construction of the capital's hospital a failure of the health policy.
KosovaPress has sent questions to the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the project plan of the capital's hospital, but this ministry has not returned an answer until the moment of publication of the article.
"For other issues, please contact the Municipality of Pristina, as the Ministry of the Interior was not part of this activity", says the reply of the Ministry of the Interior.
With the Law on the Capital approved in 2018, Prishtina has the right to have the City Hospital.
