The Basic Court in Pristina has ordered one month of detention for MMPHI official Naser Hafizi, arrested yesterday at Pristina Airport, due to the criminal offenses of abuse of position, money laundering, false reporting of wealth, income, gifts, other benefits material or financial obligations.

The court assessed that detention is a necessary measure, since if the defendant is released, he may destroy, hide, change or falsify evidence of criminal offenses, or obstruct the normal course of investigations. Likewise, the release of the defendant can be used as an opportunity for him to influence the key witnesses of this criminal case.
