Israel on revenge against Iran: They won't even understand what happened
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant declared today that retaliation against Iran for the missile attack will be "deadly, precise and surprising".
"Anyone who attacks us will pay the price. Our attack will be lethal, precise and surprising. They will not understand what happened and how it happened," Gallant said after describing Iran's October 1 missile attack as a failure.
Gallant said in a statement that he postponed the visit to the Pentagon at Netanyahu's request until the prime minister spoke with Biden, which the US Pentagon confirmed.
US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held talks on Wednesday amid heightened tensions with Iran.
The call, which was confirmed by both countries, is the first publicly known conversation between Biden and Netanyahu since August and took place at a time of sharp escalation in Israel's conflict with Iran and Lebanon's Hezbollah and no signs of an end. imminent conflict with Hamas in Gaza.
Relations between Biden and Netanyahu have been strained over the Israeli leader's handling of the Gaza war and the conflict with Hezbollah.
