The Mayor of the Municipality of Shtime, Qemajl Aliu has signed a memorandum with Ardian Ukelli, manager at the "Medica" company, who will donate to the municipality a Digital Mammograph of the Italian brand Geneal Medical Meratte - Giotto (GMM), one of the best in the world.
Aliu wrote on Facebook that he is extremely happy that they are providing digital mammography.
"Another promise fulfilled by us for the benefit of the health of our citizens. This special donation comes precisely on the occasion of entering the month of Pink, dedicated to breast cancer awareness. In a few days, the Mammography will arrive and be ready at the KKMF "Dr. Vezir Bajrami" for the women and girls of our Municipality, who will have the opportunity to undergo checks for the potential early identification of signs of breast cancer without financial burden. I call on all citizens to use this advanced device to do their checks. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives. This achievement is also the fulfillment of an important promise and a big step for the improvement and health care in our Municipality.
