The Peza Conference is one of the most important events in the history of Albania, where efforts were made to unite Albanians against the Nazi fascist invaders.

The Peza Conference was held in Peza on September 16, 1942, a village near Tirana. The protagonists of this assembly were 20 delegates representing the provinces, and different religious beliefs, classes and strata with different political beliefs.

The participants came from different political currents. Among them were Abaz Kupi, Aziz Çami, Halim Begeja, Haxhi Lleshi, Ismail Petrela, Mustafa Xhani, Myslim Peza, Ndoc Çoba, Ramazan Jarani, Skender Jegeni and Skender Muço. Ymer Dishnica, Mustafa Gjinishi, Koço Tashko, Enver Hoxha, Nako Spiru and Nexhmije Xhuglini participated from PKSH.

Ndoc Çoba was elected chairman of the conference and Mustafa Gjinishi secretary.

The conference discussed the organization of forces in a common war against the occupier, this organization was later named the National Liberation Front.

The delegates who came from all parts of Albania, representatives of all tendencies of Albanian nationalism for their complete union with the NC war, reached the following conclusions:

We are in a bloody world everywhere from the dark forces of the slavers of fascism. Peoples and nations were trampled mercilessly by fascist barbarism.

In this gigantic war that has cost humanity millions and millions of killed and wounded, that has devastated and destroyed entire villages and cities, two princes, in opposition like day and night, on one side barbaric tyranny and with the slave-holding that has seen the world until today, the fascist tyranny, on the other hand, the Anglo-Soviet-American bloc, together with the enslaved peoples who fight a just war for the disappearance of the fascist plague from the face of the earth, the fight for freedom, for independence and for the happiness of Good luck to the people.

It should be noted that the conference was debunked very quickly, which suggested that this debunking was very quick thanks to the information provided within the participants.

After the fascists seized documents related to this conference, they attacked Peza. After a few weeks, the head of the police was also changed.

On November 26, 1942, Shyqyri Borshi was appointed director general of the police, instead of Teodor Stamati ("Official Gazette", December 9, 1942).

The slogan of unity or division?

The slogan of the conference became that, according to which, a union without distinction of religion, region and idea would be carried out.
