The Student Center has opened its doors to its new residents this year as well. This year, about 4 students are expected to be admitted to the dormitories of the Student Center, while another 1 students will be fed in the canteen.

The director of the Student Center, Ekrem Rudari, spoke to KosovaPress today about the competition for the admission of students to dormitories for this academic year, who revealed some of the innovations that await students this year.

The main criterion to be part of the Student Center is that the student is part of the University of Pristina "Hasan Prishtina”, to be part of bachelor studies and starting from 25 kilometers away.

The Director of the Student Center says that the competition for the admission of students was not opened earlier as they waited for the admission of students in the second term.

Students who will be admitted to the Student Center in Prishtina will pay a total of 35 euros for accommodation and meals in the canteen.

Regarding the increase in dormitory capacity, the director of QS, Ekrem Rudari, said that it is expected that next year the construction of a dormitory with a capacity for 500 students will begin, a request which has been addressed by the International Olympic Committee, since the space of The Student Center will be used for the Mediterranean Games.

Over the years, the Student Center has faced the phenomenon of students buying and selling places, but the director of the QS says that they have managed to fight this phenomenon and to take measures against the offenders.

As for the food in the canteen, in addition to the Swedish breakfast, which was a novelty from last year in the student canteen, this year there is an increase in the variety of food. Even this year, there are reliefs for the war categories, as well as for students with poor economic conditions.

Admission of students to dormitories and food in the student canteen for the academic year 2024/25 will be open until September 26, while the deadline for complaints will be from the closing date of the competition until September 28, 2024.
