The public call for consumer support for efficient heating equipment is launched
The Ministry of Economy, as part of the emergency package for energy, today launched the public call "Support to family consumers for investing in efficient heating equipment".
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that this is the 13th call in a row and it is happening now when the weather is cooling down and families have the opportunity to keep their houses warm.
"We have already supported 40 families in our country with about 40 million euros, some of them to buy such heating equipment, some to buy electrical appliances, some to insulate their houses and change the doors of windows, and some to install solar water heating systems... The winter ahead will be warmer, their everyday life is easier and more comfortable and at the same time their electricity bills are higher low on average by 19 percent. We intend to offer such a thing to nearly 5 thousand other families through this call that we are opening today", he said.
The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, said that for these three years of mandate, many times more investments in energy efficiency have been made.
"Just for these three and a half years of our mandate, many times more investments in energy efficiency have been made historically in Kosovo. During this mandate alone, efficiency measures have been implemented in 112 public buildings, 35 thousand families have been supported for electrical household appliances and heating equipment so far. These measures we intend to continue in the future... The average consumption per family is decreasing year after year as a result of these other interventions in the energy sector", she said.
The subsidy application is made through the e-Kosova platform. The application deadline is October 11, 2024.
