Former Speaker of Parliament Enver Hoxhaj, Deputy Speaker of the Assembly from the ranks of the PDK, has commemorated an important date for Kosovo, the last one of independence supervision, which happened on September 10, 2012.

In his article, Hoxhaj published a joint photo with Hashim Thaçi, then prime minister.

"This date, not only returned to the people of Kosovo what is theirs, full democratic governance and genuine sovereignty, but also opened a new horizon for the country: A more independent foreign policy began to be exercised, strengthened the position of Kosovo in the international arena with new recognitions and numerous memberships in international organizations, but also built an equal partnership with the international community. I am very proud that as foreign minister I coordinated, with the mandate of Prime Minister Thaçi, the process of concluding independence , laying the foundations of foreign policy!", wrote Hoxhaj.

Furthermore, he emphasized that today Kosovo is under Western sanctions.

"Where are we today? September 2012 was an event of such political maturity, but September 2024 is evidence of our political immaturity. Instead of building even more constitutional and state identity, Kosovo is under Western sanctions and the Constitution is violated every day. Instead of building much better relations with the countries of the region, with its allies in Europe, America and the world, Kosovo has been left without allies, without credit cards and unfortunately, it is not taken seriously! In September 2012, it was an example of implementation of the obligations received by Kosovo's partners, today it is an example of lying and deceiving the most strategic allies, where its governance is unfortunately seen in the West and in the East as a bigot, a brawler and a noisemaker!", wrote Hoxhaj.
