Switzerland's footballers have lost tonight in front of their own spectators in Group A4 of the League of Nations.

The next opponent, Spain, was a "strong nut" in the Geneva stadium for the Swiss national team, which entered this match without Granit Xhaka, who was punished due to the red card.

The reigning European champions took the lead as early as the fourth minute with Joselu's goal, which beat Gregor Kobel's goal after Lamine Jamal's assist.

Luis de la Fuente's team did not stop there and reached the second goal through Fabiano Ruiz in the 13th minute.

The Spaniards were left with one less player on the field after Robin le Normand was sent off in the 20th minute.

The Swiss took advantage of the absence of the Spanish defender by scoring in the 41st minute through Zeki Amdouni, after an assist from Breel Embolo.

But the hopes of the Swiss fans for a possible draw were dashed with his second goal by Fabiano Ruiz in the 77th minute, after the assist of Ferran Torres. The latter three minutes later appeared again, but this time as a scorer for 4:1, after Joselu's assist.

In the table, Denmark leads with six points, which today defeated Serbia 2:0, while Spain ranks second with four points. Switzerland is ranked last in the group with no points.
