The Minister of Defense of Albania, Pirro Vengu, announced today that through the normative act of early September, the distribution of 146.707.383 lek was decided for compensation to families affected by natural disasters that occurred in the period 2016-2019.

Today Vengu shared the good news for 1039 residents in 17 municipalities of the country.

According to the minister, this decision will benefit those affected by earthquakes, floods, landslides and fires.

"This step is a sign of concrete commitment on the part of the Albanian government to stand by the citizens in times of need, while the normative act also provides for the repayment of the arrears of the military plants created for the period 2010-2024", added the minister./ ATA
