Organized this time by Turkey's News Agency, Anadolu Agency, the annual meeting brought together key figures from the region's news agencies, including KosovaPress News Agency, which has been a member since 2017.

At the three-day meeting that was organized in Istanbul, among the main topics was the need to use artificial intelligence (AI) for faster news production, improved content quality and to generate revenue from marketing AI products in the media.

During the assembly, the President of KosovaPress, Skënder Krasniqi, after taking the presidency in 2021-2022 and being on the board of ABNA-SEE for two consecutive years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024, agreed not to run and have a place to the Director of the News Agency of North Macedonia, Dragan Antonovski.

In the General Assembly it was also decided that the regular annual meetings will be held in Skopje in 2025, Trishte in 2026 and Sarajevo in 2027.

Participants also discussed future projects and proposed regulatory changes for the 2025 meeting.

The general assembly ended with a group photo of representatives from ABNA-SE member agencies, followed by a cultural tour of Istanbul.

KosovaPress has already made history in the Association of Balkan News Agencies - Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE) since its membership in 2017.

In addition to the contributions to the further qualitative improvement of ABNA-SEE, she also organized the 29th Assembly of this Association, taking the one-year Presidency 2021-2022.

In September 2021, KosovaPress brought Balkan and Southeast European news agencies to Pristina, making Kosovo the center of news agencies where their role in the post-COVID period was discussed.

During the Presidency of KosovaPress, with its lobby, the Balkan News Agency - Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE), managed to obtain legal status by registering its headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria. Officially, KosovaPress is one of the founding agencies of ABNA-SEE, giving a great contribution to the approval of the statute. Currently, KosovaPress has a seat on the ABNA-SE board together with Greece and Turkey.

From 2022 and for two consecutive years, KosovaPress was part of the board of ABNA-SE

• Members of ABNA-SE are the Agencies of the countries of the Balkans and Southeast Europe such as KosovaPress (Kosovo), ATSH (Albania), FENA (Bosnia and Herzegovina, BTA (Bulgaria), HINA (Croatia), CNA (Cyprus), AMNA (Greece ), ANSA (Italy), MINA (Montenegro), MIA (North Macedonia), AGERPRESS (Romania), AA (Turkey).

From the Balkans, Serbia is not the only part of ABNA-SE.

After the official registration as an organization in 2022 and the official entry into force of the status of a state, a News Agency, the Assembly in 2022 in Sofia decided with a vote of all members, to vote for Bosnia and Herzegovina to be represented by FENA and remove it The News Agency of the so-called Republika Srpska, SRNA, which was put in opposition to the status of ABNA.

The Tanjug News Agency, which was part of ABNA-SE, apparently, as a sign of protest, is not part of the organization that represents the main agencies of these countries.
