Participating in the Olympic Games was one of the biggest goals of boxer Donjeta Sadiku, and achieving this great goal was not easy at all. Sadik's coach, Marjola Sallauka, in a rare story for KosovaPress, spoke about the difficulties that Sadik went through to qualify for the Olympics.

She says that despite the difficult battles that awaited her on the way, she was convinced that Sadik would qualify for the Olympic Games.

"The qualification at the end was the icing on the cake because the qualification was one of the most difficult competitions we have had. The World Championship, the European Championship have their own difficulties, but the qualifications that were held in Italy were a challenge in themselves. She was very well prepared, in very good shape, she played four matches in general against the strongest opponents she had in the category. I would single out the match with the Italian, which was the decisive match for Donjeta to qualify for Paris. It was a big challenge because the qualifications were held in Italy and the decisive match was with an Italian and it is known that when you are local you have an advantage, but I had no doubts that with Donjeta we will reach this qualification. I saw it in Donjeta's mind, in what she believed... We as coaches feel, know and understand boxers, so I knew for sure that Donjeta is unstoppable in that qualification", said Sallauka first.

Despite the greatest expectations, the boxer's goals of winning medals were not achieved in Paris, but Sallauka says there is no room for despair.

"We believed a lot in the medal because I know what work Donjeta has done, but things don't always go the way we expect. I'm not depressed with what happened, even though Donjeta didn't manage to get a medal, Donjeta is young, I really believe that even two Olympics Donjeta can take and that in the best possible shape... In the next Olympics, it will be even more complete and I believe very much in its success", emphasized Sallauka.

The coach added at the end that the work to win European and world medals from Donjeta has already started, while the goal of Olympic medals remains the main point of her career.
