Armenia has offered Azerbaijan to sign a peace treaty with the articles already agreed upon and leave the remaining issues for further discussions, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said, according to which the offer was made on August 30, 2024.

"We have seventeen articles in the last draft of the peace treaty. Thirteen of them, including the preamble, are in full agreement. Three other articles consist of more than one sentence. And most of the lexicon of these articles also agrees. We offer the following, to take all the agreed articles and wording and sign it as a peace treaty. Why do we think this is possible? Because basically all the basic principles of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan are defined there. In any case, we or anyone else can never have the kind of peace treaty that would settle all possible issues," Pashinyan said.

The Armenian Prime Minister offers Azerbaijan to sign and ratify all articles agreed at this moment and continue discussions on the remaining issues.

Pashinyan said that he assumes that diplomatic relations will be established after the signing, which will serve as an additional platform for discussing all possible issues./Armenpress
