The Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) today held its 331st meeting in a row in which several decisions were taken. With eight votes for, one against and two abstentions, Fatmir Krasniqi has been selected and appointed Supervisory Judge at the Basic Court of Prizren, Dragash branch.

In addition, without any vote against and no abstention, judge Hasan Kryeziu has been appointed vice president of the Commercial Court.

Likewise, the KJC approved the announcement of the competition for 21 vacant positions for judges in the basic courts of the Republic of Kosovo.

Regarding this competition, the members of the KJC have established the Commission for the recruitment of judges in the basic courts as well as the commission for re-examining the complaints of the candidates.

The member of the Judicial Council of Kosovo, judge Artan Abazi emphasized that in the competition announced for the position of supervising judge in the Basic Court in Prizren, the branch in Dragash, only the candidate Fatmir Krasniqi applied. He indicated that the commission has assessed that the latter has met the conditions and it is recommended that it be assessed by all members of the KJC.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the KJC, Albert Zogaj, after the voting process, said that out of nine participants in the voting, eight of them voted for the selection and appointment of Krasniqi for this position, while one vote was against.

Zogaj also announced that after the voting for the position of the vice president of the Commercial Court, without any vote against and no abstention, it was approved that the judge in the Commercial Court, Hasan Kryeziu, will be appointed vice president in this institution.

Among other things, at the 331st meeting of the KJC, Zogaj said that the announcement of the competition for 21 vacant positions for judges in the basic courts of the Republic of Kosovo was approved.
