The number of foreign citizens who entered the Albanian territory during the month of July this year increased by 2.7%, compared to July 2023, reaching 1 million 818 thousand 378.

According to the report published by INSTAT, on the movements of citizens, it appears that during the month of July of this year, 2 million 624 thousand 207 Albanian and foreign citizens entered the territory of Albania.

In total, there are 10.7 million citizens who entered Albania during the January-July period, among them, 6.3 million foreigners were registered, who stated that the reason for visiting Albania is for vacations.

Compared to the January-July period of the previous year, the number of foreign citizens who entered Albania increased by 23.2%.

Referring to the report, 95% of the arrivals of foreign citizens in Albania are from the European region. Southern Europe accounts for 71% of the arrivals of foreign nationals from the European continent, followed by Central/Eastern Europe with 10%.

The purpose of entry into the Albanian territory of foreign citizens, in 99% of cases, is for personal purposes, where entries for vacations, visits to relatives, etc. dominate. This indicator has marked an increase of 3.7%, compared to July 2023.

The entry of foreign citizens for business and professional purposes also increased significantly in the month of July, by 50.9%./ATSH
