The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, said that Edona Maloku Bërdyna is the new Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Portugal.

"Dr. Edona Maloku Bërdyna is a prominent figure in the social sciences, with a career that combines academic research, applied practice and policy development at the national and international level. She has a PhD in Psychology/Social Sciences from Leiden University in the Netherlands, where she also completed a Master of Science with the highest honors awarded in Dutch universities (Cum Laude). The work of Dr. "Maloku Bërdyna has been recognized and appreciated on a global scale, including the prestigious Otto Klineberg Award and several international recognitions for her impact on social change and social justice," said Gërvalla.

Gërvalla is convinced that with this rich experience and clear vision, Kosovo's relations with Portugal will reach new levels of development and cooperation.

"In education, culture, economy and other key areas, Dr. Maloku Berdyna will bring a fresh perspective and new energy to strengthen these connections. A thank you to the current Ambassador, Ylber Kryeziu, for his commitment and contribution during this service abroad", said Gërvalla.
