The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with American Senator Peter Welch.

The meeting took place on the second day of the Democratic National Convention.

In the announcement of the Government, it is stated that Kurti and Welch discussed the deepening of relations between Kosovo and the United States of America and the expansion towards new areas of cooperation, for the closest and most productive interaction, but also for the historic presidential elections in the United States. which will be held on November 5 and the vibrancy and ingrained values ​​of the robust American democracy.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurti introduced Senator Welch to the developments in the country and the democratic and economic progress that our country has achieved in the last three years.

Senator Welch had visited Kosovo immediately after Serbia's terrorist attack on the Republic of Kosovo on September 24 last year, where Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed.

Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the importance of facing justice for those responsible for this attack and the handing over of Milan Radojčić to the Kosovo authorities by Serbia.

Expressing his gratitude for the senator's contribution and his continuous support to the Republic of Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti thanked him for the sincere exchange and the developed conversation.
