Malay: Income in Albania for seven months 8.2% higher than a year ago

The income for the first 7 months of this year in Albania is 8.2% higher compared to the same period a year ago.

This is how the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj informs, who writes that the total income for this period amounted to ALL 402,51 billion.

"During the 7-month period of this year, the positive progress in the collection of revenues in the state budget continued. The total income for the 7-month of 2024 was realized in the amount of 402,51 billion ALL (about 4,04 billion euros), which means an increase of 8.2% compared to the previous year, or 30,4 billion ALL (about 305 million euros). Compared to the plan for the same period, the income was realized by 103%", writes Malaj.

As for the expenses for the first 7 months of this year, according to the Ministry of Finance, they reached 347.5 billion ALL, with a realization of 92.3% of the plan. Compared to a year ago, this item was 6.3% higher.

"General public expenditures, for the 7-month period of 2024, reached about 347.5 billion ALL with a realization of 92.3% of the plan for the period, while compared to the same period of 2023, this item was 6.35 higher or about 20.5 billion ALL more. In annual terms, the general expenses for the 7th month of 2024 were realized to the extent of 47.1% of the annual plan according to the initial budget and 46.7% of the annual plan according to Normative Act no. 1 dated 21.02.2024 (AN no. 1). Current expenses for the 7-month period of 2024 resulted in about 314.7 billion ALL, while compared to the same period a year ago, this item was 8.5% higher or about 24.8 billion ALL more", the Ministry announces./RTSH
