The Kosovo War of 1448, according to the historical sources of the time, is considered one of the most famous wars that took place in Medieval Europe. This was said at the Scientific Conference "The Second War of Kosovo, October 17-19, 1448", organized by the Municipality of Obilqi, in cooperation with the Albanological Institute in Pristina and the Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians in Skopje, in which the importance of the battle of 1448 has been treated.

While it has been emphasized the need to recall this battle of Kosovo's history through the organization of these conferences, which was almost a danger of suffocation in the drawers of important European archives as well as in the minds of some young generations.

Lulzim Lajçi from the Albanological Institute in Pristina, while talking about the Kosovo War of 1448, added that this scientific conference will serve as a good impetus to further address certain scientific subjects.

"The Kosovo War of 1448, according to the historical sources of the time, is considered one of the most famous wars that took place in Medieval Europe. The Kosovo field on October 17-19, 1448 was a battleground between the Southeast European alliance led by Janosh Huniadi and the army Ottoman Empire with Sullan Murat II... So this scientific conference will serve as a good impetus to further address certain scientific subjects", he said.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Obiliq Municipality, Xhafer Gashi, has told about the uniqueness of this conference.

"We are dealing with a special topic that perhaps Kahmoti wants to be treated. It is a special honor that the Albonology Institute addressed Obiliq for the determination of a plot which is dedicated to the obilisk of the battle of Kosovo in 1448. It is special because this conference is they preceded the obelisk which will be placed in the part of Lazareva, an area that is defined and is higher than the other monuments that belong to this battle. I believe that these scientific works that you will do today, we will make an effort to have them in a single book by October 19", said Gashi.

Meanwhile, professor Skender Asani from the Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians in Skopje, mentioned the two components that are related to the history of our people.

"The greatest historical turns have occurred as a result of the alliances that preceded the military battles, while the fate of the peoples has been prepared according to the constellation of forces that produced the alliances. This was also the case with the second battle of Kosovo, as one of the most known to have taken place in medieval Europe, which took place in October 1448, which produced a new reality in Europe, after the failure of the alliance led by Janos Huniad against the Ottoman forces, led by Sultan Murat II The battle has two components that are related to the history of our people. The first, this battle took place in Kosovo, and the second, in this battle, although late, the Arbëro soldiers led by Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu also took part... to be, it turns out that the Albanians were an inevitable factor in the Balkan European battles against foreign invasions. And this proves a fact that is related to the very existence of the Albanian people, who faced numerous identity challenges as a result of being aligned in any alliance, as a product of the constellation of forces", said Asani.

Meanwhile, the researcher, Dom Nikë Ukëgjini, while emphasizing the importance of this conference, said that the first battle of Kosovo in 1389 has remained in today's histography as an orphaned baby and as a blurred historical event, compared to the second battle of Kosovo in 1448, which according to historical sources is considered a very famous battle.

"The organization of this conference is necessary to recall this battle of our history which was almost a suffocation risk in the drawers of important European archives as well as in the minds of some young generations. The more we hear and read about these events, the more the sense of the legacy of the Arbër generations is awakened. The first battle of Kosovo in 1389 has remained in today's histography as an orphaned baby and as a blurred historical event, compared to the second battle of Kosovo of the year 1448, which according to historical sources is considered a very famous battle", he said.

While, during this conference, statements were also read in which the role of Gjergj Kastrioti-Skënderbeu was emphasized, the Second War of Kosovo (1448) according to the classic Ottoman chronicles of the XV-XIV centuries, the war strategy and the role of the wars of Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu in the defense of the country and Europe and various topics related to the battles in Kosovo.
