None of the 57 passengers and four crew members on board the plane that crashed in Vinhedo, Sao Paulo, Brazil survived the crash as President Inazio Lula Da Silva has declared three days of national mourning.

The plane lost about 5 kilometers of altitude in less than 2 minutes and crashed in the garden of a house where there were three people who fortunately remain unharmed.

Data from the Swedish real-time flight monitoring service said the plane took off at 11:56 a.m. and crashed at 13:22 p.m. But in this tragic journey not all those who were supposed to travel managed to board the plane as they arrived late.

While rescue teams are working to recover the remains, experts have begun to study the possible causes of the accident.

The ATR-72 aircraft model with two engines owned by the Brazilian company Voepas took off without problems at 11.50 am from the Cascavel airport, in the state of Parana, in southern Brazil towards the Guarulhos airport where, due to the crash, it did not arrive./TCh
