The Embassy of the United States of America in Kosovo has distributed the speech of the spokesperson of the Department of State, Matthew Miller, which he made during a conference on August 7.

In this speech, Miller had expressed concern over the "uncoordinated" decisions of the leadership of Kosovo.

"We are worried by the continuation of uncoordinated decisions by the leadership of Kosovo. We believe they jeopardize the opportunities we have helped Kosovo create. If you look at the history since Kosovo's independence, the United States has strongly supported its full integration into the international community as a sovereign multi-ethnic democracy, but to realize this vision, which is a vision that we share, we have partnered with the leaders of successive policies of Kosovo for measures that improve peace and prosperity in the country, advancing Kosovo on this Euro-Atlantic path that you have agreed on", he said.

He also encouraged Kosovo to return to close and constructive engagement with the United States and the EU, NATO and Kosovo's international partners.

"And so what we would encourage the Government of Kosovo to do is to return to close and constructive engagement with the United States, with the EU, with NATO and other close international partners of Kosovo. And we have made it clear - as I am making it clear publicly, we have made it clear privately to the government as well," he concluded.
