Minister Krasniqi: It is absurd that the Bridge over the Ibër River continues to be closed

Not only is there no reason, but it is already absurd for the Bridge over the Iber River to be kept closed. Thus, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, declared.
Krasniqi made these comments in the Municipality of North Mitrovica in a meeting and conversation with civil society activists and local media representatives on the topic "Inter-ethnic cooperation, municipal counseling for community security, cooperation between institutions and civil society".
According to Krasniqi, the opening of the Bridge over the Ibër River is not and will not be against anyone.
"In recent days, the opening of the Bridge over the Ibër River to full traffic has also been raised in public discussion. I want to reiterate, just as it is stated in the European Union's plan for the revitalization of this bridge, that the bridge over the Ibër river will become a symbol of the normalization of relations in Kosovo. In that plan it is stated that its revitalization will greatly contribute to facilitating the contacts of all citizens of North Mitrovica and South Mitrovica and thus will contribute to exchange and understanding. I consider that not only is there no reason, but it is already absurd to continue to keep the bridge closed. According to the very nature of bridges, this bridge should also be at the service of everyone, and its opening is not and will not be against anyone. We are convinced that freedom of movement and the rule of law do not endanger peace and security, on the contrary, they strengthen it", said Minister Krasniqi.
Whereas, while talking about inter-ethnic cooperation, Krasniqi said that this discussion organized today is at the service of all citizens, without any distinction or exception.
Minister Krasniqi also stated that every day it is being proven that coexistence in North Mitrovica is possible as in all places everywhere in Kosovo
Minister Elbert Krasniqi has also shown the number of employees from the government measure for families, where according to him so far the employment of 231 people in the northern municipalities has been supported.
