Populist actions and for electoral reasons are considering the closure of nine points of the Post of Serbia in the north. According to the Democratic League of Kosovo and those familiar with the dialogue process, the unilateral actions of Prime Minister Albin Kurti seriously endanger relations with allies, especially the United States of America. On the other hand, the Government of Kosovo has not responded to the reaction of the EU and the US, who qualified the closure of Serbian post offices in the north as a unilateral and uncoordinated action.

The deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Rrezarta Krasniqi, tells KosovaPress that the government is trying to cover up the failures in four years of government through the north.

Although he declares that the Serbian post offices in the north should be closed, he adds that the same should be done in coordination with Kosovo's international allies.

Krasniqi, who is also the chairperson of the Parliamentary Commission for European Integrations, emphasizes that these actions of the government in the north may endanger that the punitive measures of the EU remain, and even become tougher.

Meanwhile, the political analyst, Arbnor Sadiku, says that the actions in the north are only serving the ruling party, Vetëvendosje Movement, for votes in the national elections.

Sadiku asks that future actions in the north be coordinated with the allies, so that, as he points out, there is no tension in the situation in the north.

On Monday, the Kosovo Police closed nine branches of the Post of Serbia in the northern municipalities of Kosovo, which had acted illegally. Three facilities have been closed in North Mitrovica and Leposaviq, two in Zveçan, and one in Zubin Potok.

After these developments, the European Union and the United States of America reacted, which they considered a unilateral and uncoordinated action.
