Voting in Himare for mayor started today normally.

The inhabitants of Himara in Albania have started voting in the voting center at the Greek school in Himara. They waited until the polling station was opened.

Vangjel Tavo of the Socialist Party and Petro Gjikuria of the opposition are competing for the post of Mayor of Himara.

The two candidates will face each other "head to head", as today's elections are expected to return calm to Himare after the saga that started in 2023 with the arrest of Fredi Beleri and then also of the acting president, Jorgo Goro, writes Tch, broadcasts KosovaPress .

There are 36 polling stations in Himara, where the distribution of election materials was completed, according to the announcement of the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi. 52 policemen will be in the respective voting centers for the smooth running of the situation.
