Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku was declared after the consultative meeting with the country's president Vjosa Osmani to set the date of the regular elections.

The first of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku through a post on his profile on the social network Facebook, he wrote that according to the constitutional deadlines, the consultations for the date of the elections start from July 26; just 3 weeks away from informal dinner dates.

"This fact, in itself, makes, once again, the attempt to dissolve the Assembly and thus remove the responsibility from the populist Government completely unnecessary and harmful", wrote Lumir Abdixhiku.

Abdixhiku, wrote that at the present meeting there were 13 parties represented in the Parliament of Kosovo. The Vetëvendosje Movement and Lista Serbe did not participate in the meeting called by the President.

The same as the president Memli Krasniqi, Ramush Haradinaj, and Lumir Abdixhiku has proposed January 26 as the date for holding the elections

"Since, according to the constitutional deadlines, we were offered four dates, January 26, February 2, February 9 and February 16; and in line with the political convictions of the Democratic League - that the country needs a new Government as soon as possible, which prevents the undoing of the state, heals social polarization, restores the pro-Western orientation and focuses on the development and welfare of citizens, I proposed on January 26, 2025 as the date of the next elections", wrote, among other things, the chairman of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku.

Meanwhile, he said that the elections for the LDK are always a celebration

"As a manifestation of democracy, as a return to the citizen, as a value of our new state, they come to us at a critical moment for the country, for the current generations and those to come. Therefore, the unification of the right today is a call for salvation", wrote Lumir at the end Abdixhiku.
