Today, it has been 16 days since the miners of the Stan Tërgut mine of the public enterprise "Trepça" went on strike, due to the non-payment of salaries for the month of June and food allowances. This is what the president of the Miners' Union, Ibrahim Januzi, said to KosovaPress, saying that due to the lack of wages and allowances, the miners refused to return to their workplaces.

The company has not given a deadline for making the payments, saying that they are trying to solve this situation as soon as possible, until with the absence of miners at work, "Trepça" loses about 30 thousand euros a day.

Januzi added that they have not received any response from the management to resolve this issue.

Januzi has also announced that the miners are not conducting the strike in the mine due to the preservation of their health.

The official for communication with the public from the company Trepça Donika Osmani Mehmeti, said that this company is in an unfavorable situation for that reason the salaries are not being executed on time.

Meanwhile, Osmani-Mehmeti said that they are trying to resolve this situation as soon as possible.

She said that the company's daily losses for each day of the Trepca miners' strike is around 30 euros.
