The Olympic Games in Paris will officially start today, although there have already been some matches from the sport of football and some other sports, but the opening ceremony will take place today.
Before their start, the president of France, Emanuel Macron, and that of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, met the leaders of over 100 countries, a meeting in which the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and Prime Minister Albin Kurti also participated.
"Before the start of the Olympic Games, it was a pleasure and an honor to sit among world leaders at a dinner hosted by the President of the International Olympic Committee. Sports serve as a powerful reminder of the obstacles that can be overcome to achieve great things, while also bringing us together. Kosovo is always proud to be part of such initiatives", Kurti wrote on Twitter.
Otherwise, Kosovo participates in the Olympic Games with nine athletes.
