The Albanian Football Federation and 6 other federations have been fined by UEFA due to the racist and discriminatory chants of the fans during the finals of the European Championship "Germany 2024".
Through an announcement, UEFA has decided to fine the Albanian Football Federation with 30 thousand euros due to the events in two of the matches of the Albanian National Team, against Croatia and Spain, where the objective of the investigation was the racist and discriminatory behavior of the Albanian fans.
UEFA has also fined the Croatian Football Federation (50 thousand euros), the Romanian Federation (40 thousand euros), the Serbian Federation (30 thousand euros), the Slovenian Federation (30 thousand euros), the Hungarian Federation (30 thousand euros) and the Austrian Federation (20 thousand euros).
Among other things, UEFA has imposed several other sanctions on Croatia, Romania and Serbia. These three federations have banned the sale of tickets to fans for an away match. This decision comes into effect in September, with the start of the new edition of the League of Nations.
"FSHF takes the opportunity to appeal to all Albanian fans to be more responsible and avoid the creation of these totally avoidable incidents and riots, which can bring financial penalties and damage the image of Albania and Albanian football", it is stated in the reaction of the AFF.
