Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, has said that the foundation stone for the construction of four residential buildings for social and affordable housing will be laid in the fall

After the approval of the Bill for social and affordable housing, the minister Aliu said that so far 13 municipalities have applied for the identification of the location for the construction of residential buildings, where the tender will be opened in four of them in September, while in nine other municipalities they are still in the design phase of the project.

Justifying the realization of this project at the end of the government's mandate, Aliu said that they could not enter the project implementation phase without studies and a preparatory phase.

Aliu at the press conference he said that the apartments for social housing will remain owned by the state and will be managed by the municipalities, while young couples and administrative workers from the respective municipalities can apply for affordable housing.

The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, was also present at the media conference, who announced that all the necessary preparations for the supply of books for the new school year have been made.
