While the countries of the region, especially Albania, is making a name for itself and has become a favorite place for tourists from all over the world, Kosovo remains far from being compared to these countries.

Albania and other countries in the region have not stopped investing in the promotion of tourism, where the world media write almost every day, while our country is nowhere to be seen, despite the fact that it has potential for mountain tourism, many monuments of cultural heritage, but also potential for health tourism.

The prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, promotes tourism almost every day. However, only the president, Vjosa Osmani, who had announced visits to all municipalities, trying to promote tourism, is rarely seen here, but she often interrupted those visits.

The chairman of the Tourism Union, Baki Hoti, says that the road infrastructure must be developed, as it is negatively affecting tourists.

Hoti told KosovaPress that the union has appealed to the institutions to subsidize tourist agencies and airlines in order to achieve a steady flow of tourists.

"We are working to increase overnight stays, it is very important for Kosovo to increase overnight stays, to bring in visitors, to stay as long as possible in Kosovo, having this budget value, which greatly affects businesses and the state itself...3:23 We have appealed to the institutions to take tourism seriously, prioritize it and allocate certain budgets, which will support these tourism businesses in order to achieve sustainability , to develop sustainable tourism and at the same time subsidize the tourist agencies,,, to support the airlines that want to land at the "Adem Jashari" Airport... As for the part of health tourism where we are doing very little promoted, rural and agritourism, are extraordinary potentials that Kosovo has and we as a union are pushing the companies to work in this direction, but the hand of the state is also needed, whether in the part of the infrastructure. We have some countries that have very poor road infrastructure, which is negatively affecting visitors", said Hoti.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, in a written response, said that they have drawn up the strategy for tourism and the action plan, which were approved on July 10 by the Government.

This ministry has clarified that through these two documents it is intended that Kosovo, by 2030, will be transformed into a sustainable tourist destination and a competitor in the Western Balkans.

A visitor from China, Denise Viktoria, who has been working in Kosovo for a year now, expresses her satisfaction with the people, describing the citizens of Kosovo as social and social.

Otherwise, the Statistics Agency of Kosovo has reported that as far as foreign visitors are concerned compared to the previous period (May 2023), there is an increase in visitors by 19,6%, since there are a total of 31 foreign visitors, of which the largest number big is from Albania, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, etc.
