Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Liburn Aliu stated that the debt inherited in the expropriation was 184 million euros. He said that they managed to reduce this debt to 24 million euros, while over 100 million euros were only for private property owners.

Liburn Aliu he said this while announcing the decision that was taken at today's government meeting for expropriations that are affected by the realization of the Memorial Complex in Reçak as well as the expansion of the Kijevë-Zahaq national road.

Among other things, at the press conference, the Minister of Economy Artana Rizvanolli announced the government's decision to pay more than 21 million euros in compensation to the American company "Contour Global", after the loss in the Court of International Arbitration.

The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli said that Kosovo is implementing the decision of the arbitration tribunal, which has forced Kosovo to pay the company "Contour Global", over 21 million euros related to the project for the construction of the Thermal Power Plant "Kosova e Re".

Rizvanolli stated that this contract has never been in favor of Kosovo.

At the press conference, she also spoke about the decision of the Government of Kosovo to start tendering procedures for the construction of new generating capacities from and for providing support for capacities up to 150 megawatts.

She added that the construction of 100 megawatts of wind capacity will be divided into two competitive processes and will offer power purchase agreements for at least 15 years.

Further, the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Liburn Aliu stated that the debt for the expropriation of private properties has decreased from over 102 million to 24 million euros.

He announced that at today's meeting of the government cabinet, the green light was given to the decision on expropriations that are affected by the realization of the Memorial Complex in Reçak, as well as the expansion of the Kijevë-Zahaq national road.

Aliu said that the road projects being realized are moving at a fast pace.

Meanwhile, regarding the Durrës-Prishtina railway, he said that Kosovo is ready to continue the part of the project.
