The chief executive of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, Kushtrim Hodaj, said that they expect the process of promotion to sergeant in the Kosovo Police to return to zero. The findings of the inspection, he added, indicate a violation of the credibility of this process. While reporting to the Committee for Security and Defense Affairs, Hodaj emphasized that there were omissions in this competition. The members of this commission have said that this report obliges the Kosovo Police to cancel the promotion competition for sergeant. After the meeting of this Commission, the Kosovo Police has announced that it has canceled the competition for the promotion to guard sergeant announced on February 12 of this year.

The head of the IPK, Kushtrim Hodaj, said that the report also indicates the need to review the current legal basis.

Furthermore, Hodaj emphasized that in this process, the participation of another generation has been enabled, even though they do not meet the criteria.

According to him, there are no findings that criminally incriminate or direct violations of certain levels of police management.

The chairman of this commission, Bekë Berisha, asked the head of the IPK if this process should be cancelled.

Chief Kushtrim Hodaj said that the findings of the inspection show that the credibility of this process has been compromised.

Hodaj emphasized that they have sent eight recommendations to the Kosovo Police for the revision of the Administrative Instruction for this promotion. He said that he expects the director of the Kosovo Police to ensure a process with credibility.

The deputy of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Rashit Qalaj, stated that this report obliges the Kosovo Police to cancel the process.

After this discussion, the Commission was closed to the media. /Sh. Pajaziti
