The Committee for Economy, Industry, Entrepreneur and Trade has reviewed the annual report of the Public Enterprise of the System, Transmission and Market Operator - KOSTT, in which the challenges and achievements of this institution throughout the year 2023 have been shown.

The chairman of the Board of Directors, Jeton Mehmeti, while presenting the report, said that he felt hurt after the words of some deputies who wanted to avoid the report. Derisa has added that they are the only board of directors in a public enterprise that is publicly accountable to the Assembly of Kosovo.

While listing the challenges, Mehmeti said that the problem was the payment crisis in the north.

According to him, if it were not for the energy crisis and the unfair responsibility for the north, there would be even more results.

While he added that as a result of maximum dedication, it was possible to operationalize the new supplier in the north, which allowed KOSTT to remove the burden and responsibility of balancing in the northern part, for which he said that immediately after the removal of this obligation, positive results are observed.

On the other hand, the deputy from the Democratic League of Kosovo, Valentina Rexhepi-Bunjaku, asked about the planned budget for 2023 and expenses.

The chief executive, Evetar Zeqiri, said that the revenues from fees were 92 million, while he said that 91 percent of them were spent.

Meanwhile, MP Bunjaku-Rexhepi also told about an address that came to her from the former acting, as she said, a person who does not have a basic or advanced procurement license was appointed in her place.

Meanwhile, Zeqiri responded by saying that he is not aware of such complaints, but said that there are currently two advisors in KOSTT, including a specialized market advisor for the 12-month period.

Rexhepi-Bunjaku has stated that this company has opened a competition for the head of the cabinet as if he were the minister of KOSTT.

Until Zeqiri has said that they operate in a highly regulated environment where all revenues are approved by the Office of the Regulator.

The deputy of AAK, Pak Lekaj said he stopped at the contracts signed by KOSTT.

"Here I have a report of the national audit office where it is a qualified opinion that you know and I don't need to explain it to you. Here I have as an example five issues found by the audit of the National Office... KOSTT had signed a contract with an economic operator whose owner had bid with two businesses in the same procurement procedure, what is this, I want clarification from these found", he said.

Unlike the opposition, the position continues to boast about the work of this enterprise. The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, has said that Kosovo is taken as an example in the management of the energy crisis with the lowest cost of all the countries of the Western Balkans.
