More than 170 inspections have been carried out since the beginning of the summer season on the Black Sea coast, six violations were detected and four of them resulted in administrative acts, said in Burgas Ivan Videlov, head of the Control and Inspection Directorate at the Ministry of Tourism.

According to him, since the beginning of the joint inspections of the department together with the inspectors of the Consumer Protection Commission, the National Revenue Agency and the Economic Police, seventeen places on the Black Sea coast have been inspected and more than 40 alarms have been received.

"We have responded to all the alarms and made checks. I assure you that the beaches are in perfect condition. This shows the relatively small number of irregularities that we found. During the joint inspections, the Ministry of Tourism issued three denunciations and colleagues from the institutions others have issued eight joint controls will continue throughout the summer season", said Videlov.

He clarified that unfair practices have been found where umbrellas and sunbeds are rented on beaches for which no concession contract has been signed.

During joint inspections, which began on Friday along the Black Sea coast, beach facilities were also identified whose owners did not provide documents for categorization, said Branislava Nedyalkova, a leading expert at the Commission for Consumer Protection.

"We had two such cases where the necessary documentation for categorization or for an open procedure for categorization was not provided," said Nedyalkova. /BTA
