For the first time, the National Audit Office has given a contrary conclusion to the budget organizations for the Municipality of Pristina and Vushtrri, due to the fact that these two municipalities during 2023 did not carry out their activities in compliance with the law. This was announced by the general auditor, Vlora Spanca, which disclosed the audit results for the Annual Financial Statements of public institutions at the central level, those at the local level and public enterprises for the year 2023.

Spanca in a press conference has emphasized that they have carried out 115 reports in total, of which 85 audit reports for the Annual Financial Statements of budgetary organizations, 13 of public enterprises and 8 audits of performance and information technology.

Among other things, Spanca said that for the 32 audited municipalities, including the four municipalities in the northern part of the country, they gave 15 positive opinions and 23 qualified opinions.

Meanwhile, Spanca said that this year they also audited three public enterprises, such as Trepça Sh.A., KOSTT Sh.A. and KRU "Hidrodrini" JSC.

Meanwhile, regarding the audit plan for the 2023-2024 season, it was announced during the conference that it will end on August 31 of this year.
