After heavy rains in the Municipality of Fushë Kosova, the situation on the ground has stabilized and the teams are doing their work. However, heavy rains caused damage mostly in agriculture. This is what the director of Public Services and Environment in this municipality, Ardit Sekiraqa, told KosovaPress.
In a written response to KosovaPress, Sekiraqa said that the situation is good, stressing that he has caused more damage in agriculture.
Meanwhile, the citizens are worried about these damages, who ask the central level to allocate more funds for these cases.
The resident of this municipality, Bashkim Spahiu, while talking about the damage, emphasized that the most damage was caused to agricultural crops, for which he asked the central level to allocate more budget in this direction. The citizen, Elmaida Morina, also says that the situation has been difficult. Even the citizen, Sheriff Kosova, said that last night's situation caused damage in some parts of the city.
Meanwhile, there were floods yesterday in several neighborhoods in the Municipality of Pristina.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has asked the citizens to avoid using vehicles during the afternoon and has suggested public and private institutions to release workers earlier from work, to avoid heavy traffic in the afternoon, as according to him, rains are expected high intensity like yesterday.
Rama wrote on Facebook that after the heavy rains that fell during yesterday afternoon, they went to the field to assess the situation and to intervene in the key points, in order to avoid damages in similar cases.
Until the University Clinical Center of Kosovo has announced that despite the heavy rains and the impossibility of processing water from the sewage network, no damage to medical devices and other material damages have been recorded so far.
According to an announcement, the water mainly penetrated the floors of some clinics, but after immediate measures, the medical equipment was not endangered.
