The Mayor of the Municipality of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has asked the citizens to avoid using vehicles during the afternoon and we suggest that public and private institutions release workers earlier from work, to avoid heavy traffic in the afternoon hours as rains with intensity of high as yesterday.

Rama wrote on Facebook that after the heavy rains that fell during yesterday afternoon, they went to the field to assess the situation and to intervene in the key points, in order to avoid damages in similar cases.

"After consultations with the relevant institutions, we created the crisis headquarters for the management of the situation in the following days, taking into account the forecasts for similar rainfall. Together with the firefighters, our emergency teams have intervened in 100 cases reported by citizens. We ask citizens to avoid using vehicles during the afternoon and we suggest that public and private institutions release workers earlier from work, to avoid heavy traffic in the afternoon hours as high-intensity rains like yesterday are predicted.
