Lionel Messi was born on June 24, 1987. He is an Argentinian soccer player who plays as a striker with the American club Inter Miami.

Since the age of 21, Messi has been nominated to win the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year. A year later, in 2009, he won his first Ballon d'Or awards as well as FIFA World Player of the Year. He continued his dominance by winning three more Ballon d'Ors in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

 He also won the 2010–11 UEFA Best Player in Europe. At the age of 24, Messi became Barcelona's top scorer in all competitions.

At the age of 25, Messi became the youngest player to score 200 goals in La Liga. In September 2014, Messi reached the number of 400 goals with the clubs and the national team at the age of 27.

Widely recognized as the best player in the world, Messi has been hailed by many commentators, coaches and players as the greatest footballer of all time.
