The health week was marked with several activities in the capital. All this with the aim of making citizens aware of healthy living. And while the leaders of the health institutions in Pristina are praised for the conditions, the pharmacists have requests for the regulation of the price of medicines.

The vice-president of the Chamber of Pharmacists in Kosovo, Jehona Hakaj, has told KosovaPress that the most necessary thing now is to regulate the health insurance, because from that moment the pharmacist will no longer deal with the prices.

The chamber's request to the Ministry of Health is that their voice be heard.

Meanwhile, the director of Health in Pristina, Izet Sadiku, said that this directorate has increased the domestic service which works from 12 hours to 365 days, the laboratory, radiology and dental services have increased.

Sadiku added that during the year 2023, the health directorate covered over 500 thousand euros for drugs.

Meanwhile, the family medicine specialist, Arjeta Pula, said that in the activities that were held during the health week, services and advice were offered to the citizens, for the reason that the population is more aware.

KosovaPress has also contacted the Ministry of Health regarding developments and delays in the health sector, but they have not responded. Some of the main activities during the health week was voluntary blood donation.
