Prime Minister Albin Kurti has stated that Kosovo does not have a problem with the local Serbs in the northern municipalities, but with the official Belgrade that did not distance itself from the then Milosevic nor from today's Putin. He added that the institutions are offering full integration to the Serbian community in Kosovo.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the Summit for the Western Balkans, which is being held on Tuesday in Pristina, also said that Kosovo leads economic development in the region.

"The problems we have have nothing to do with the Serbs. The problems we have are with Belgrade, which did not distance itself from Milosevic of the past and from Putin of the present. This is the problem we have. It is with our northern neighbor. Not as a people, but as a regime and not at all with the Kosovo Serbs in the northern municipalities, who are being integrated," Kurti said.

According to him, Kosovo has made significant efforts in strengthening security and democracy.

Part of the summit is the former Prime Minister of Italy, Matteo Renzi, who emphasized the importance of the EU playing its role in the Western Balkans and giving importance to the enlargement.

Meanwhile, the former secretary of NATO, Lord George Robertson, said that the countries of the European Union should be ready for any threat from Russia and its allied countries.

He said that the danger of Russian influence also exists in the Western Balkans, especially in the weakening of democratic institutions through misinformation, destabilization and interference in elections.
