The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Prizren has filed an indictment against the defendants IG, BR, due to the well-founded suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense "Misuse of official position or authority" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

According to the indictment, on 04.04.2022 in Prizren, in the capacity of official persons - the defendant IG, as manager of the Unit for Human Resources Management within the Municipality of Prizren, and the defendant BR, as a senior personnel officer of the Unit in question - at the same time as members of the recruiting committee regarding the competition announced by the Municipality of Prizren on 03.03.2022 - published on 04.04.2022 - for the recruitment of 12 general practitioners in the HCMFs, of the Municipality of of Prizren, using official duty or authority, in complicity, do not fulfill official duties.

"They acted in this way with the intention of the other person benefiting financially, or with the intention of causing harm or even violating the rights of other persons - other competing candidates, in such a way that during the checking of the application files of the competing candidates in the said competition, deliberately neglect the condition of the work license provided as one of the basic criteria according to the said competition, so that even though the competing candidates AN, BM, AG, and VM, from the moment of application until the closing of the competition deadline, they were not equipped with a work license, they nevertheless approve the application file as regular, so that contrary to the preliminary conditions of the competition, they enable the candidates in question to participate in the written test and with mouth, as well as being selected as the winning candidates for the job as a doctor. In this way, the defendants IG and BR have committed the criminal offense of "Misuse of official position or authority" according to the KPRK, the announcement states.    

The prosecutor of the case, when the indictment was filed, proposed to the Court that after holding the judicial review, administration of the evidence and their evaluation, the aforementioned defendants for the criminal offense for which they are accused should be declared guilty and punished according to the law.
